I have worn this harness since I started sailing catamarans in 2011 and I love it. As a split harness it is quite comfortable in gear ranging from flexible boardshorts to stiff 4mm wetsuits. The newer versions now have a quick release hook held in place by a pin, a handy feature if you want to disconnect from the boat after a capsize; however, it will result in a lost hook as it detaches completely from the harness. The harness has moderate back support down low and an open shoulder design, allowing me to conserve core strength and retain upper arm mobility. The neoprene covered leg straps prevent digging into my thighs. The harness has 5 different adjustment straps allowing you to customize your fit and bar position.
The harness isn’t too heavy when dry, but does hold some water in its neoprene and fabric. This is actually quite helpful for lighter teams who want to keep up in the breeze. I use this as my heavy harness and switch to the North Sails split harness when the breeze drops.
